When she’s not writing books about tween boys battling dragons, Linda Lee (writing as L.R.W. Lee) is out fighting for her fellow independent authors. She put in loads of time and energy creating an amazing Youtube channel called Book Nerd Paradise in which she interviews fantasy and science fiction writers, and gives them the opportunity to read aloud from one of their works. She goes on to promote them on social media–quite vigorously. (She has more than 50K followers!) “It was a blast to get to know these folks and I’ve definitely expanded the number of authors I call friends as a result,” said Linda. She even coached CIR founder, Lia London, on how to make the Clean Indie Reads Reviews Youtube channel.
Linda also blogs with tips for better marketing for indie authors, and her sense of humor shines through–like in her guest post article, “Are Authors … Mentally Unstable?” “I love helping other authors. There’s nothing like the satisfaction of seeing others succeed from an idea or something I did for them.”
As the author of the award-winning Andy Smithson series–an adventure connecting our world with another that’s full of magic and dragons–she keeps herself busy with writing, but she finds time for other fun, too, including watching movies. “The Sound of Music is my favorite musical. As my husband and kids will confirm, I hate scary movies.” This is a little surprising considering the action and suspense in her series! Linda also loves piano and strings music, sunsets in Hawaii and a good cup of decaf, French press coffee (yes, decaf!). She’s a healthy-eating fanatic (“lean protein and complex carbs, if you please”) and exercises regularly (“even though I hate it!”). She also love Ansel Adams prints, and mobiles, as well as all manner of kinetic art.
