LYKINS: A family member has heart disease and I see how much he suffers with it. I go with him to the doctor’s offices and ask a lot of questions about the heart. My main character has to receive a heart transplant at a young age and she struggles to move forward and let life happen.
CIR: What makes this book a great choice for the holiday season?
LYKINS: There are miracles that occur and a Christmas wedding.
CIR: Would you compare this to another movie or book?
LYKINS: My book and story line is unique. There isn’t another book that I know of like it or movie. Not many love stories which revolves around organ donation.
CIR: What is the main character like?
LYKINS: Alexia is a strong woman who doesn’t give up even when she has been dealt a bad hand early in life.
