When Alexandria Grace Groaban was a child, she learned she was very different from others she encountered. She saw and heard things that no child should ever bear witness to. She knew details of things and people long since passed, and she could hear voices and repeat them in whatever language she heard during the scenes which played out before her young and impressionable eyes.
Through an encounter with one she thought to be her guardian angel, Alexandria was given a reprieve to know some normalcy in her childhood. But at the age of twenty-one, Alexandria returned home to her family’s small estate outside Oxford, England for Christmas, and learned the hard way that her grace period was about to come to an abrupt and vicious end.
Now, she will find herself on the edge of a great precipice. One that will call her into action and into a world that she could never have fathomed existed. For Alexandria to know who and what she truly is, she will have to rise to the challenge of a battle waged for millennia by beings first spoken of in Genesis, and embrace that which has lay dormant within her since childhood.
“Fabulous story, wonderful characters, and beautiful scenery. This book is an absolute MUST READ for those who love a good adventure and romance.”
Alexandria can finally answer the question that plagued her youth: Why is she so different? After a brutal attack, she learns that she contains the soul of the oldest and most powerful Nephilim.
Alex must push past the bounds of her mortal body to learn how Arianna perished? To protect her loved ones, she needs every detail she can gather and must face Ganymede’s warning – that her time as a mortal is running short.
With Gaius, Jack, and the others, Alexandria embarks on an exciting quest for answers concerning Kronis. and to decide whether to choose immortal life.
“An amazing read! Beautiful love story with battles of the heart, of light and dark, and eternal life or mortality.”
Sometimes, the right choices are the most difficult. Though Ganymede hopes to ease her into her immortality, Rangor, has other plans. And Alex’s plans for Kronis will give him one last chance to turn away from the evil his father cultivated for millennia.
In a bid for peace, and to keep Alexandria alive, the Nephilim of the Light charge ahead to find Kronis, before he and Rangor come for Alex again. Alex must also decide between Gaius and Jackson. Only one can truly claim her heart. She must search her soul to discover the one whom it cries out for.
“Choices of the Heart had me crying, laughing, feeling loved and wondering what was to come next.”
Alexandria has made it through the constant battles the demon Rangor threw her way, as well as ended all the dark immortals he sent into her life to destroy her. She has fought her body as it threatened to fail her and she has chosen her new path in life. As the leader of all the Lord’s Nephilim, Alexandria is poised to bring about great works, all while holding the demons and their children at bay. And with her new husband at her side, she is ready to learn what the future has in store for her, now that peace has returned to their lives.
But choosing an immortal life and living it are two entirely different things. And now that the battles have ended, Alexandria will come to learn that finding her way will come with its own unique set of challenges. For the day will come when she looks twenty-one far longer than she should, and that could spell danger for her mortal family and all her immortal brethren.
“Seldom do you read a book that makes you want to be a better Christian, a better person, a better human.”
“I found the book series richly rewarding in so many ways and encourage any reader to envelop themselves in the love and light of the faith found in these words.”
For the last thirteen hundred years, Rohan has guarded his heart with a firm resolve that has kept him from ever knowing hurt again. But that same resolve has kept him alone, as well.
When a surprise attack on one of his fellow immortals brings Rohan’s heart out from the cold shell he has locked it away in, he must decide if he will let old wounds and loss keep him from experiencing the potential of a new love and partnership – the likes of which he has never allowed himself to consider – or if he will retain his solitary existence.
As the danger mounts and hidden plots are uncovered in the eternal struggle between the Light and the darkness, Rohan will be forced to make a personal choice and take a stand for a fellow Nephilim. One who has captivated him and caused Rohan to question his decision to never give his heart to another, ever again.
“If you are a die-hard romantic, get yourself a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy.”
Alexandria Grace Marcus has faced the darkness, the demons, and their children with bravery uncommon to one so young. She has fought to protect innocents and her loved ones as well, while the horde circled time and again since her return to the Lord’s Nephilim. And just when she was sure that peace had settled over her family, as they await the birth of Wallace’s child, danger strikes in the blink of an eye.
On an innocuous night in London, Alex is stunned to find herself at the center of a coordinated attack by children of the Fallen – while she is alone. She valiantly defends her life, only to discover that her life is now the prize in a brilliantly spun game by those vying for power within the ranks of the darkness.
Alexandria and her immortal brethren are thrown headlong into a battle which will take them to Valencia, Avignon, Schwerin, the sands of Saudi Arabia, and to the Colosseum of Rome as she works her way steadily through the gauntlet designed to lure her in. And she must revisit painful and poignant memories of Arianna’s past to keep one step ahead of the enemy. Alex knows the Light will always outshine the darkness, but it is the doing of it all which is the challenge. And now, she faces challenges unlike any she has known thus far.
“The story draws you into the heart of family on many different levels. The suspense kept me reading long after my usual time.”
A perfect storm – that is what the Fallen and their children called it, and what they have been patiently waiting and watching for where Alexandria Grace Marcus is concerned. Through all her trials and tribulations as she returned to the Lord’s Nephilim, the dark ones have anticipated such a period in Alex’s life. Banked on it, in fact. A time during which they might seize advantage and make it count in their favor – not the Lord’s.Even Alex’s dear friend Jackson Campbell sees the coming dark tide. And his observation, that the generals don’t march until the foot soldiers have already advanced across the field, resonates deeply with Alex and her brethren. For they feel the shift in the struggle between good and evil just as she does. Something more is looming over the horizon and something, somewhere, is very wrong.
Now, Alexandria and Gaius must join forces with their angelic fathers and fellow Nephilim in ways they have never imagined before, to not only hold back the encroaching tide of evil, but also defeat it. Mankind is counting on their bravery, as well as a new immortal compatriot whom Alex will befriend in startling new ways for both sides – proving, once again, that good will always triumph over evil.
“He’s given His Angels charge to watch over us. We know they’re there but can’t see them. People don’t understand that there’s a lot of truth to this series! It helps me understand what’s out there spiritually.”
The last few years have brought so many changes and trials into Alexandria Marcus’ life, yet so much joy and love as well. She’s come to understand what it means to lead the Lord’s Nephilim, and grown in many ways, becoming stronger, wiser and braver than ever before. And it is these qualities which Alex must now draw from as a new threat erupts and overshadows her temporary reprieve.
Alex knows the fallen still hunt her and want her power. Yet never would she have imagined the lengths they would go to, or the new and despicable game they’ve instigated, in order to claim her. As Alex, Gaius, and their brethren face the new traps set to ensnare Alex and her newest friend, Than, Alex is startled to find that the biggest threat is actually coming from within. For the deaths are mounting and weighing heavily on her soul as it soaks up all of the emotions and energy she encounters – both good and bad.
To triumph over Abaddon and Danyul, Alex must make difficult decisions and costly personal sacrifices with far-reaching consequences. But as she has learned before – the Light will outshine the darkness every time. It is that unfailing faith that will see Alexandria, Than and a few other dark immortals through. Those who, like Than, just might be ready for a change.
“This book continues to teach us that no matter what the darkness brings, we can still call on the Name above all Names…..JESUS! And know that God allows His Heavenly Host to watch over.”
Author note: As a child I heard about Nephilim in church and was always intrigued by the idea that the ‘heroes of old’ truly existed. A few years ago a piece of instrumental music caused me to visualize some of the critical scenes in the first three books which lay the groundwork for the series.
