After Charley dies in her office chair, how is it that she finds herself propelled into the mysterious world of Avalon?

Upon encountering an essence, which insists is her daughter – the one she knows she left behind – insanity battles with fear inside her mind.

The further she delves, the more puzzling things appear, especially after she rises into the Orb of Caprice – a realm of fairies, talking flowers and goblins…and something else, something that lurks in the shadows ready to swallow her whole.

Can she realize in time what it is she must do…or has she left it too late?

“This was hands down one of the most powerful stories I’ve ever read.”

“This story is filled with hope, inspiration and love. It’s a magical adventure that I highly recommend for everyone.”

Author note:  Gone was written in answer to a question that haunted me during the waiting years between my daughter’s first and second deaths.  Samantha was born with transposition of the main arteries, two holes in her heart and a blocked valve.  When she was eight months old, she had corrective surgery.  Unfortunately, Samantha’s heart stopped when she was two and a half and she died, though was resuscitated too long and too late, resulting in severe brain damage.  Whatever had made Samantha who she was – her essence – vanished and in its place was an empty shell, which lasted for a further seventeen years of immense suffering.  She died a second and final time on 26 December 2001.  That question: ‘Where had my daughter gone?’ was answered with my fantasy book, Gone, and I went in search of her, because who she had been had been wiped clean away.
